Local 14 is an Amalgamated Local Union. The GM Powertrain Unit has approximately 1,300 members and is a manufacturer of automatic rear-wheel drive 4-speed transmissions and recently secured work for a new rear-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive
six speed transmissions.

Our Office Unit has two members that are dedicated to the
office work of our Local and our Units. Also included in our local
are two Maintenance Workers Unit members.

Mathew's Ford of Oregon and Lucas County Juvenile Justice
Center have recently joined our local and all of our brothers and sisters of Local 14 UAW welcome them home. We are also proud
of our retirees - we have over 4,000 with Otis Green as President
of the Chapter.

Our first President of Local 14, Robert Travis, provided the leadership and manpower necessary to carry the Flint Michigan
sit-down strikes of 1936 - 37 to their successful conclusion.

Union Meetings - Local 14 Powertrain Unit meetings are held
on the second Sunday of the month at the Union Hall starting at
9:00 a.m. The next scheduled GM Powertrain Unit Meeting will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at the UAW Local
14 Union Hall. All members in good standing are eligible to attend this meeting.
