Local 14 retiree Chapter News
By Otis
Green, Local 14 Retiree Chapter President
Two
months ago one of our new retirees suggested that we bring a can of food to the
next meeting to be distributed to a needy family. Let us not forget to do this at our next
meeting.
According
to the ,calendar, spring begins March 21. It looks
like we will have winter until spring arrives. Also, .our daylight savings time
has been moved up. We hope all the computers have been' activated to the new
time which is earlier this year.
We are
deeply moved by the tragedy of the Bluff ton ,Baseball
team. The parents and grandparents that have traveled with their sons and
daughters to games out of town can surely understand their emotions. When you
are in school you never think about the sudden disappearance of your
classmates. None of us know when our lives will be taken. These players were
doing what they enjoyed being with each other, looking forward to a good tournament.
How many times have some of us wished to be doing something we enjoy when our
life ends.
We
appreciate our new retirees because now we have a larger space upstairs and we
enjoy the room. There is an elevator for
those that do not care to take the stairs.
Thanks to
Charlie, Ron and Jesse for their assistance. Thanks for reading my article.
